First-Click Attribution

First-Click Attribution is a type of web analytics model in which the first click that brings a visitor to a website is given credit for any sale or conversion that ultimately takes place.  This is typically NOT the default setting for most web analytics packages, including Google Analytics, which are setup to attribute conversions to the most recent or last click that brings someone to a website.
